More than thirty years of business travel took me around the world many times, introducing me to thousands of fascinating individuals, fantastic places and electrifying experiences.  I'm grateful to all of the above for the inspiration for many tales, locations, situations and characters. 

I'm a prolific and passionate writer of thriller novels and have recently added screenplays, sitcoms and even stand-up to my repertoire.    As in real life, there is humor to be found in almost every situation and I like to reflect this human trait in my characters whatever the genre.

When I first started to write in earnest, I did what most aspiring writers do.  I wrote from my personal experiences, knowledge and interests.  The more prolific one becomes however, the more difficult it becomes  as, even with the lifespan of experiences I've enjoyed, personal anecdotes get consumed very quickly.  It was this realization that made me more interested in actually listening to the people I meet.  I mean, really listening.  Engaging in a way I'd been too lazy or self-absorbed to do before.  This change in attitude has not only given me a far richer vein of characters traits and situations from which to mine,  but has, at least I choose to believe, made me more interesting in turn.
